I’ve heard it said that life makes sense backwards - and the older I get, the more that makes sense to me! When faced with difficulties it is easy to get discouraged and lose focus. Yet what makes no sense to us in the moment often makes perfect sense upon reflection. It is all about perspective.
As humans we are each engrossed in our individual life stories - because this world has trained us to believe that we are in control of our lives. Whilst there are some things we can control, such as our actions, reactions and attitude, there is so much else that is beyond our capacity to control.
Surrendering to the Divine Plan for our life is Key to finding peace within every storm. Once we understand that everything that happens is happening FOR us - and not TOO us, and embody the truth of that, then we are free. I’m not saying that it will ever be easy, especially when life throws us a curve ball we weren’t expecting! What I am saying, however, is that resistance to God’s plan will always cause us to circle back into every lesson we run from.
Life on Earth brings each of us a series of lessons uniquely designed to bring about growth. Whereas one man’s pleasure can be another man’s pain, it helps to understand that we will never be tested beyond what we are capable to endure.
Every life lesson serves a Divine purpose. We are here to learn what it means to love. Not the romantic, fluffy kind that all the songs and movies tell us about. No, we are here to learn about unconditional love and how to embody it in our lives. Jesus came to Earth as an example of that kind of love. A blueprint for us to emulate. He showed us a love without limits, and yet, also, a love with boundaries. A pure undefiled love that accepts each person exactly as they are - without needing to change them - and at the same time offers them the opportunity to see how love can transform their lives.
There are many spiritual teachers online just now and each have their own ‘formula’ about the ‘how to’ of Love. My take on it is that it is the work we do on ourself that brings the breakthrough. Inner work is not glamorous or marketable. Others can guide us, but it is our responsibility to come to a place of understanding about what it means to truly love.
It begins with an acceptance and honouring of the person we were created to be - warts n all! It’s not about being perfect or seeking power over others. It is more about authenticity- about releasing the layers this world has placed upon us, and returning to Truth.
These thoughts are musings on the journey based on my insights - and whilst they may resonate with some of you, I’m aware that others may find them confusing. That is OK. It is your own journey that matters. Listen to your heart and feel your connection to God in each moment. You will be guided into all Truth. Our journeys may be different, but our destination is the same. I send you all every blessing as you travel. May God be your guide.
With deepest Love

Beautiful reflection. I especially appreciated your comments about making sense of life living backwards. As a child I was fascinated with indigenous history and culture... and at 18 met and a few years later married an indigenous man. We wouldn't have met if it wasn't for our common interest in music. Such a grace.
